Mingen Zhou

violin associate professor, academic adviser to master’s degree candidate, currently the director of the string section of Shanghai Music Middle School affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music、the deen of Violin Committee of Shanghai Muscians’ Association, the member of String Committee of China Muscians' Association. Mingen Zhou got her bachelor degree at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, with Professor Zhao Jiyang,Professor Zhao Dan qing,Professor Zheng Shisheng, and completed her postgraduate studies at the Northen Royal Music Conservatory in Norway, under the full scholarship , with Professor Malfred Hassen and Violinist Mr. Issac Schuldman. and has given her solo recitals in Tromsø, Norway. She was the member of UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland in 2003 and 2004.  

Mingen Zhou also devotes to teaching, currently teaching in Shanghai Music Middle School affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music .She gives violin masterclasses in Shanghai 、Beijing、Kunming、Macow、Qingdao、Zhuhai and as well as other cities in China. Her students have won several violin competitions both in China and abroad.In recognition of her achievements in music education ,she has been rewarded a great deal of awards such as “2009、2012、2015、2020、2021、2022、2023 He Lv-Ting Art Award” by Shanghai Conservatory of Music; “2009 Teacher Award”by Shanghai Education Committee; 2012 the National Violin Competition Wen Hua Teacher Award from P. R. China Ministry of Culture ; 2013 the Tang Jun Yun Teacher Award,1st.price,from Shanghai Education Commission; 2017 the Shanghai Education Award Prime Absolute Prize (the Group);2018 the National Education Award the Second Prize(the Group).

Mingen Zhou has been invited as jury member of several international violin competitions ,such as: XXI、XXⅣ“Andrea Postacchini” International Violin Competition in Italy, in May 2014、in May 2017; the 5th 、7th 、9th、10th、11th、12th、13th Hongkong International Violin Competition in 2015、2017、2019、2020、2021、2022、2023 in Hongkong；34th  Macao Young Musicians Competition (Violin Group) in July.2016 in Macao、“Shlomo Mintz International Violin Competition”in Beijing,in July 2017;“USA Minnesota University International e-piano Musikfest” guest violin professor in July 2018 in US；The 1st. SCC International  Competition  for Young  Musicians (2019 ,Violin) in Seoul,Korea.

Mingen Zhou gave several concert such in Shanghai Music Hall、Shanghai Symphony Music Hall、Oriental Art Center、Future Art Center、Jinji Lake Music Hall in Su zhou,Shanghai Grand Theater, Ningbo Grand Theater, Qidong Grand Theater. Mingen Zhou has been invited as soloist for many times to perform the Chinese violin concerto <Butterfly Lover> with several famous conductor such as Maestro Fan Tao ,Maestro Hou Runyu, Maestro Xu Zhong, Maestro Yu Xuefeng during 2017-2024.
