Simeone Morassi
Simeone Morassi continues the traditions of the world-famous violin-making family and is a producer of firstclass string instruments.
After more than 35 years of activity as a luthier, his instruments are well-know and appreciated worldwide.
His limited production is noted for the use of especially selected woods, aged inexcess of 20 years.
He entered numerous international violin making competitions winning the First Prize and Gold Medal inthe following competitions:

· Nachod 2004 - Czech RepublicIn addition, he has received various special prizes such as for best varnish, best workmanship, and sound quality:
· Baveno 1987 – Gold medal for viola and silver medal for cello
· Sofia 1988 - Bronze medal and award for the best workmanship for violin
· Paris 1991 – Special mention of the jury for violin and viola
· Cremona 1991 – Sacconi award for Cremona Triennale· Poznam 1996 – silver medal for violin
· Poznam 1996 – special prize for highest violinmaker quality
· Poznam 1996 – special prize for the highest sound quality

2023 he was elected President of the EILA Association and in 2024 he was elected President of the Italian Violinmakers Association (ALI) Numerous antique instruments of the classic Italian violin making period have passed through hisworkshop from various places in the world, making it a destination for musicians and collectors searching for exclusive instruments.
Morassi has also taken part in numerous exhibitions in Tokyo, Seoul, Taiwan China, Paris, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sidney etc. assisting and providing professional demonstrations of the craft, as well as giving lectures on the various aspects of violin making.
